Daniel Phillips Wins Singles And Doubles Matches
Tulane University’s men’s tennis team defeated Southern University 7-0 in a match highlighted by Daniel Phillips’ performances in singles and doubles.
Tulane secured the doubles point early, with Phillips and partner Lance Nisbet leading 4-3 against Southern’s Sebastien Byng and Zachery Byng when the match was halted after Tulane claimed the point on other courts.
Phillips continued his strong play in the singles number one match, defeating Sebastien Byng 6-0, 6-1.
The rest of the Tulane squad won all remaining singles matches, completing the 7-0 sweep.
