Franklin & Turk Win Squash Championships
2026 GNOSIS Bermuda National Squash Championships concluded at the Bermuda Squash Club with Micah Franklin and Melina Turk winning the Men’s Open and Women’s Open titles.
Franklin, the second seed, defeated top seed Taylor Carrick in straight sets to win the Men’s Open final. Franklin secured the title with a 3-0 victory.
In the Women’s Open final, Turk defeated Rachel Barnes in a 31-minute match. Turk won 11-5, 11-9, 11-13, 11-4 to claim the championship.
In the Men’s B Division, fourth seed Michael Schrah was awarded the title following a walkover against top seed Owen Rosorea.
The Men’s C Division final saw Colin Alexander defeat third seed James Bigley in a 33-minute five-set match. Alexander won 9-11, 11-5, 3-11, 11-8, 11-9.
In the Men’s Over 60 Division, top seed Jan Brewer defeated second seed Peter Drury in a 28-minute match. Brewer won 11-7, 11-5, 11-13, 13-11.
In the Men’s Vets Over 50 Division final, top seed Hadleigh Farrer defeated Nick Leach in 24 minutes. After losing the opening set, Farrer rallied to win 6-11, 11-9, 11-5, 11-6.
