Male Dies Following Shooting In Southampton
The police have confirmed that a male has died following a shooting in Southampton.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 3:45 pm on Sunday, March 15, 2026, police and other first responders were dispatched to a reported shooting incident on Riviera Road, Southampton.
“Upon arrival officers found a male who had sustained what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately commenced life saving efforts until the arrival of Emergency Service Personnel who continued life saving efforts.
“The injured male was subsequently transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Hospital, where was later pronounced dead.
“Police have begun a murder investigation into this incident and residents in the area of Riviera Road or the nearby Railway Trail, are asked to call the main police number 295-0011.
“Police are also interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen two men traveling on a dark colored cycle in the area of Horseshoe Bay Road and environs, between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. today. Residents in these neighbourhoods are asked to review their CCTV camera footage to see whether they may have recorded any images of these individuals.”
