Bermuda Quartet Play At Barbados Event
Four Bermuda golfers competed at the Fordes Golf International Women’s Day Golf Extravaganza in Barbados.
Ann Symonds, Tracy Burgess, Morgan Lightbourne and Rhonda Hassell took part in the two-day event.
The opening day featured a two-ball better ball format, won by Barbados pair Jina Scheper and Carol Jean Marie. Mariella Young claimed the nearest-the-pin prize and Simone Harris won the longest drive.
The second day switched to a four-ball Texas scramble format, with Bermuda’s Burgess winning the nearest-the-pin award. Nefertari Alleyne, of Barbados, took the longest drive.
Williams Metals Reigning Juniors — Mariella Young, Nefertari Alleyne, Kiara Wilson and Mya Gibson — retained the team title. The Bahamas Hibiscus Sistas finished second and Barbados team Chaotic Company were third.
