Donna Raynor Presents Medals In Poland
Donna Raynor presented medals as a World Athletics Council member at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Torun, Poland, at the weekend.
Raynor, who became the first Bermudian elected to the governing body in 2023, awarded medals to the podium finishers in the women’s 60 metres.
The event was won by Italy’s Zaynab Dosso in 7sec, with Jacious Sears, of the United States, claiming silver in 7.03, and Olympic 100 champion Julien Alfred, of from St Lucia, taking bronze.
Raynor, the former Bermuda National Athletics Association president, wrote on Facebook: “What an exciting World Indoor championships.
“I enjoyed every minute of it. Presenting medal to Julian Alfred once again 60 metres women.
“World Athletics, we done it again. Getting better and better. So proud to be a part of it.”
