Munya And Turner Help Montverde Win Meet
Bermudians Amaris Munya and Arima Turner competed for Montverde Academy as the team won the title at the Dr. Phillips Invitational at West Orange High School.
Competing against 28 schools, Montverde Academy won the meet after strong performances across several events.
Munya teamed with Lyla McMillen, Alafair Scelfo and Angelica Wolfe to win the girls’ 4×800 meter relay in 9:48.63.
Turner finished third in the girls’ 100 meters in 12.29 seconds.
Munya placed fourth in the girls’ 400 meters in 1:00.13.
