Route 4 Buses Affected By Road Paving Works

March 31, 2026 | 0 Comments

The Department of Public Transportation [DPT] advises the public that the “impacts to Route 4 bus service due to Spanish Point Road paving by the Ministry of Public Works will now begin on Tuesday, March 31st, 2026.”

A Government spokesperson said, “Paving works will begin in the area of the Spanish Point Boat Club, progressing east to Cox’s Hill Roundabout. Due to lane closures, the presence of paving equipment, and the narrow road width of portions of Spanish Point Road, Route 4 buses will be unable to travel beyond the Spanish Point Road, North Shore Road intersection whilst paving works are in progress.

“Route 4 buses will be impacted on weekdays starting at approximately 7:30am until the Ministry of Public Works reopens the road in full. A shuttle loop using a minibus will run between the Spanish Point Turnaround and the intersection of Spanish Point Road and North Shore Road between 7:30 am and 9:30 am, and between 4:30pm and 6:30 pm when paving is taking place. Outside these hours and during paving, Spanish Point Road beyond this intersection will not be serviced.

“Impacts are expected through April 10th or until the Ministry of Public Works indicates otherwise. DPT thanks the public for their continued patience and understanding.”
