Tobacco Bay Ranked 13th Best In The World
Tobacco Bay Beach has been ranked the 13th best beach in the world for 2026 by TripAdvisor.
A spokesperson said, “Bermuda has earned a place on the global stage after Tobacco Bay Beach was ranked 13th best beach in the world for 2026 by TripAdvisor, a major international travel platform that evaluates thousands of destinations worldwide. The iconic St. George’s beach also secured 2nd place in the North Caribbean, placing it among the most celebrated coastal destinations in the region.
“The ranking is especially significant given the scale of competition. TripAdvisor’s annual lists draw from thousands of beaches around the world, making Tobacco Bay’s 13th place global ranking a major milestone not only for the beach itself but for Bermuda’s tourism profile.
“Industry observers say the recognition signals that Bermuda’s natural beauty and visitor experiences are gaining stronger international recognition. Being ranked among the top 15 beaches on the planet positions Tobacco Bay alongside some of the most renowned coastal destinations worldwide.”
Dennie O’Connor, CEO of Tobacco Bay, said the recognition reflects years of vision and effort by the team behind the beach’s transformation into a year-round destination.”
Mr O’Connor said, “My mindset has always been clear: we don’t measure ourselves by the shores next door, but by the global horizon. This recognition proves that our vision is real, that our hard work is paying off. The team has poured heart and soul into crafting a year-round experience that keeps raising the bar, and the public’s enthusiastic support keeps us moving forward,”
The spokesperson said, “Tobacco Bay has become one of Bermuda’s most vibrant attractions, blending its famous turquoise waters and limestone formations with a lively atmosphere that appeals to both residents and visitors. The beach’s continued development and consistent visitor engagement have helped elevate its profile beyond the island’s borders.
“Looking ahead, Tobacco Bay’s leadership plans to build on the momentum. A proposed rooftop seating area scheduled for 2027, pending final approval, is expected to further enhance the visitor experience by offering panoramic views over the bay, while being carefully designed to remain environmentally sensitive and protect the surrounding natural landscape.
“The addition would mark another step in the beach’s ongoing evolution, designed to attract more visitors and showcase the unique beauty of the area from a new perspective.
“Beyond the rankings, many see the recognition as a point of pride for Bermuda itself. Being listed among the world’s best beaches highlights the island’s ability to compete on a global tourism stage.
“With Tobacco Bay now officially ranked 13th in the world, supporters say the achievement sends a powerful message: Bermuda is not just home to beautiful beaches—it is home to some of the best beaches anywhere on Earth.”
