Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Canon James Woodcock Francis, OBE, JP, Southdown Farm, 5 Orchard Lane, Southampton in his 97th year.
A celebration of life service will be held, today, November 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Anglican Church Devonshire. Canon Francis was a former Canon Residentiary of the Bermuda Cathedral [1985 – 1997] and the former Rector of Christ Anglican Church, Devonshire [1997 – 2018]. He is the beloved husband of the late Audrie A. Francis, beloved father of James, Jr. [Chiquila] and Kimetha King [Theo]. He was predeceased by brothers: Edward Browne and Henry [Shine] Francis, sisters: Ethlyn, Mary and Florence Francis and Alice Richardson, brother-in-law: Joseph Woods, sisters-in-law: Alice Francis and Millicent Browne. He is survived by his sister: Maysie E. Woods and a host of relatives too numerous to list.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Anglican Church Devonshire in honor of Canon Francis.
