AMIS Memorial Chapel. It is with great sadness we announce the Memorial Service for Eleanor Gertrude “Mama D” Dillas of #3 Spicery Road, Warwick in her 105th year who passed away at home on Saturday, December 6, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Grace and Frederick Simmons; mother to Linsene [Percy] Caines, the late Edison “Ron-I” [Maria: deceased] Ible, Eura “Mannie” [Rose: deceased] Ible, Kaven Ible, the late Kamula [Vernon] Simmons [both deceased] and Bussie [Sharon] Ible. The sister of Dolly Swan [deceased], [William “Bill” Simmons [deceased], Malvina Simmons [deceased], Barbara Watson [deceased], Acklyn “Ack” Simmons [deceased], Sidney “Sid” Simmons [deceased].
She was the grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, godmother, adopted mother and aunt to nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
She will be fondly remembered and missed by her loving care giver Maria Alves and many friends and extended family members too numerous to mention.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, December 21st, 2025, at Southampton Seventh-day Adventist Church at 1 pm. Interment will follow at the Adventist Cemetery, in St. Georges. Colours may be worn.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Amis Memorial Chapel from 6 pm to 7:30 pm.
The service will be live streamed on the Southampton Seventh-day Adventist live YouTube channel.
