In loving memory of Frederick Swan.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Frederick Byron Swan, who left this world on February 2, 2025. He is deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Frederick is survived by his wife Shirley, sons Fred Jr. [Andalyn], Eudell [Georgia], Craig [Juanita], and Dexter [Karyn]; his sister Edie; grandchildren Cani and Aminata; special friends Sherman Swan, Leon Rewan, Jack Johnston; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Frederick’s life will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Southampton Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Middle Road, Southampton, with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until 12:50 p.m. A viewing will also be held at Amis Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Interment will follow the service at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Southampton.
Fred was predeceased by his mother Dolly, his brother Snowy, uncle Morty, and dear friend Warren Williams.
We are eternally grateful to the Port Royal Family, Sunnyside Park Family, and Camp Hill Family for their unwavering support during this difficult time. Your kindness has been a great comfort.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated team at King Edawards Memorial Hospital and Claranda Easton for their exceptional care. Special appreciation to his nieces Heather, Lois, Deborah, Patrice, and Verona for their tireless efforts in preparing for the service.
We invite all those who knew him to join us in honoring a life well-lived.
