The service to remember our very special and much-Loved Muriel Gwendolyn Dorothea Peaks Known to many of her family and friends as “Tootsie” or Dorothea, beloved wife of the late Percy Peaks. Daughter of the late Walter [Bunny] & Iona Fubler nee Burns. Loving mother of John Lee Varnado III [April]. Stepdaughters: Despina Barnes [Anthony] and Christyl Davis [Anthony] and their families. Adopted children the late Kene and Cassandra Hardin of Texas.
In her 87th year of Allen Texas formally of 10 Bobs Valley Lane, Sandys will be held at Somerset S.D.A. Church, 6 Beacon Hill Road, Sandys on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
Viewing will be at Amis Memorial Chapel, Khyber Pass, Warwick, Saturday, June 15th, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and at the Church from 10:00 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18th 2024.
Interment will follow the service in St. James’s Church Cemetery.
She is lovingly survived by grandchildren John and Justin Varnado; brother Stansfield Fubler [Donna]; nephew Trenton Fubler; niece Tmara Senior [Wayne]; great niece Trenique Fubler-Hughes; god-children Gita Saltus [Gary], Bethea Pearman, Betty-Jean Gilbert, Shaun Swainson [Marilyn], Eugene Dean and Leslie Pearson [Lisa] special friends : Davina Blakeney, Sandra Ashe [Johnnie] of FL, Erlor Dean [Clarence], Madelyn Latimer [Charles] of MD, the BIG Four plus one- [Norma Stucker [Alfred] of Canada, Yvonne Pearson, Roseanne Swainson, Ann Simmons} Maxine Burns, Barbara Ambers of N.C., Johnnie Bassett of TX, her Church The St. Mark Baptist Church Family, of McKinney TX, and Many relatives and friends in Bermuda and United States too numerous to mention.
