A Private Homegoing service honoring the life of Mrs. Stephanie Sandra Smith was held on Friday February 25th, 2022 at St. John’s Anglican Church in Pembroke. Stephanie was the wife of the late Ross Canterbury Smith, daughter of the late O’Brian Simons and the late Violet Simons-Cannon [the late Arthur], loving mother to Sandra Gomes [the late Reginald], Sharon Swan and Terry Quinn [Scott], sister to Howard [Gilda] Simons, Perry [Antionette] Simons, Rosemarie Walters, Clyde Cannon, the late Earlington Simons [the late Jackie] and the late Joy Jones. She was the adored grandmother of Keane Smith [Tse], Zahry Swan [Bella Clementino], Zeico Swan, Talae Quinn and step-grandmother of Regeno Gomes; cherished great-grandma of Khol and Kwinn Smith. Also surviving are sisters-in-law: Janet Thomas [Cedric] and Linda Bourne [Wilhelm];nieces and nephews: Eugenia Simons, Jeananne Bard [Curtis], Keisha Major, Tammy Cartwright [the late Cornelius] Kewanna Swan, Karen Jones, Cori Haynes [Christopher], Marisa Nearon-Howard [James], Sabrina Bourne and Michelle Nearon- Richardson [Dwayne] nephews: William Frost [Amber], Antoine Hansey [Dionne], Jay Simons [Aisha], Eugene Hansey, Quiency Jones [Darmell], Earl-Jay Simons, Manuel Mesa [Christine], Earl, Troy [Lameisha], Jayson and Christopher [Jasmine] Smith, Mark Bourne [DeVika]; special cousins: the Haywards, numerous great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends; special family : Debra Swan, Quinton Jones, Laura Walker, Nicola Harris and DeNias Caines; loving caregiver: Erica Swan; special friends: Louise Bridgeman, Debbie Bell, the St. John Anglican Church family, the Quinn, Gomes, Outerbridge, Furbert, Burgess and Wade families. Stephanie was pre-deceased by her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Wilfred and Lillian Smith; brother-in-law: Earl Calvin Smith and nephew: Wayne Frost.
