May 24th: Rain & Gale Force Winds Predicted
In news that few will be pleased to hear, the Bermuda Weather Service has predicted rain and gale force winds for today [May 24], and they have issued a Small Craft Warning for all day, and a Gale Warning for this afternoon and evening. In addition, the US Weather Service has issued an outlook relating to a weather low 500 miles off Bermuda, which they say has a 30% chance of becoming a tropical cyclone.

Cloudy, rain & showers, becoming widespread later. Winds easterly strong gusts to gale force, increasing strong to gale force with gusts to gale force afternoon, then easing east-southeasterly strong overnight. High near 24°C/76°F.

The US National Hurricane Center in Miami has issued a Special Tropical Weather Outlook on a non-tropical low pressure system in the Atlantic. The low, about 500 miles south-southwest of Bermuda, is producing gale-force winds and a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms. They expect it to move north-northwest, and say it has a 30% chance of becoming a tropical cyclone.

Cloudy with light rain predominant. Burst of moderate or heavy rain likely this afternoon through tonight. Strongest winds expected from 3pm this afternoon to 3am tonight.
