New Company Headquarters In Bermuda
Saying that they believe Bermuda to be an “attractive location” with a “deep pool of local insurance talent”, a reinsurance company announced today it has established new headquarters for its insurance operations in Bermuda.
GEROVA Financial Group, Ltd, an international reinsurance company, has new offices in the Cumberland House, which are the global headquarters for GEROVA Holdings and for its insurance subsidiaries.
CEO of GEROVA Holdings Ltd Lou Hensley said:
We are excited to establish our base in Bermuda. We believe that Bermuda is an attractive location for conducting our insurance operations due to Bermuda’s strong locally based insurance and reinsurance infrastructure, deep pool of local insurance talent, excellent availability of cost effective third-party services providers, political and economic stability, and easy access from major East coast U.S. cities.
At the time of its January 2010 public listing, GEROVA acquired approximately $650 million in equity capital of a variety of investment funds, including an existing loan portfolio.
