U.S. Olympic Medalist To Attend Cycling Awards
The Bermuda Bicycle Association’s annual awards dinner has been scheduled for Saturday, February 23rd at the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club this year.
The BBA said: “We are fortunate have as our guest this year American Olympic silver medallist Lauren Tamayo.
“As a member of a world-record setting team in 2010 and then taking the silver in London in the team pursuit, Lauren has had a successful career on the track as well as the road, including a GC win in the 2004 CD&P Bermuda Grand Prix.
“Traveling with Lauren will be her husband Mike Tamayo who is the general manager of the very successful pro men’s team UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team.”
Tickets for the dinner will be put on sale starting next week and they are limited to 120 attendees.
