Nahki Wells Back In The Game Following Injury

October 26, 2013

Following a month long layoff due to an ankle injury, Nahki Wells returned to the field today [Oct 26], coming on in the second half of today’s match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Bradford City went down 2-1 to the Wolves, with Wells denied by a double save from Carl Ikeme after coming on as a substitute at half-time.

On September 28th, the 23 year old Bermudian went off early in the first half of Bradford’s match against Shrewsbury Town after taking a hard knock to his foot.

A scan on his injured left ankle revealed he had suffered ligament damage from the challenge by Shrewsbury defender Dave Winfield.

Wells return to the game today coincided with his appearance on the front cover of ‘The Parader’, the club’s official match-day magazine.

The edition features an interview with Wells, with the popular striker chosen as the latest player to come ‘Under The Spotlight’ – a section which sees City players answer fans’ questions.
