Photos: Berkeley Institute Hosts Prize Ceremony

The Berkeley Institute held a prize ceremony yesterday [Nov 28] that honoured staff and students who excel in adding to the school’s educational culture, with speeches and song accompanying the proceedings.

The event opened with a processional lead by Mr. John Woolridge, the school’s music teacher, followed by an opening prayer given by Clevon Cunningham, one of the school’s honours students.

Many of the school’s leading figures were on hand to provide their own remarks to the crowd, including students Dejanée Hill-Edwards, Jasmyn Renfroe, Lucien Anderson, and Kyrsten Burrows, acting principal Ms. Keisha Douglas, and Chairman of the Board of Governors Mr. Craig Bridgewater.

A special guest speaker, Sergeant Kenten Trott, a former graduating student at the Berkeley Institute, was also present to impart his thoughts on the occasion.
