Video: Charities House Host Christmas Event
Christmas is a time for giving, and local telecommunications company BTC has found a way to multiply the spirit of giving through the partnerships at Charities House.
Mr. Eric Dobson, CEO of BTC, announced last week that this holiday season, his company is supporting and honouring its dedicated charity partners, resident in Charities House on 25 Point Finger Road in Paget.
“We recognize the enormous challenges that many in our community are facing today, and we wanted to find a way to touch a broad cross section of the community,” explained Mr. Dobson.
“There are many worthwhile charitable organizations in Bermuda, which makes the selection process difficult. Charities House is comprised of charitable bodies that assist families, seniors and aspiring athletes making them an ideal partner.”
Mrs. Jennifer Mahoney, Assistant Vice President of Marketing at BTC further explained that BTC is donating the money, $12,000, to be divided among each charity resident in Charities House to support clients in need of essential services.
“We will also be raising additional funds through an e-billing campaign through the end of January, and our staff are organizing an internal food drive. It is imperative that we as a business community find ways to support these types of efforts year round, not just during the holiday season.”
