Best Of The West Win Bermuda Open
The 2014 Bermuda Open Volleyball Championships, which was being hosted by the Bermuda Volleyball Association came to an end inside the Warwick Academy Gymnasium this weekend, with Best of the West from Western Canada winning the Gold Medal, while Mully’s Saaz from Baltimore taking the Silver Medal and Time Out also from Baltimore captured the Bronze Medal.
Best of the West player Renee Fagnan was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
In early actions BVA Beach defeated the Bermuda Women’s National Team 25-20, 25-20, the Kangaroos defeated Bermuda Junior Women’s National Team 25-11, 25-13.
Mully’s Saaz defeated the MVA 18’s 25-18, 18-25, 15-13, while BAL Time Out went down to the Best of the West 25-17, 25-11.
In the Consolation Bronze Medal game the Bermuda Women’s National Team defeated the Bermuda Junior Women’s National Team in a three setter 25-10, 23-25, 15-5, in the Consolation Gold Medal match MVA Beach defeated the Kangaroos 25-19, 25-15.
The Bronze Medal match saw Time Out defeat the MVA 18′s 25-13, 25-18 and in the Gold Medal game the Best of the West defeated Mully’s Saaz 25-15, 26-24.
