Cruise Crew Member Suffers Heart Attack

On Tuesday [May 20] a crew member from the Norwegian Dawn cruse ship was transferred to Bermuda after suffering a heart attack.

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “On arrival of cruise ship regular Norwegian Dawn the transfer of a 49 year old Filipino crew member took place just prior to the ship taking pilot.

“The patient had suffered a suspected heart attack as the ship approached Bermuda. Pilot cutter St George conducted the stretcher transfer of the casualty off the east end of the island, with transfer to an ambulance taking place at Ordnance Island, St George’s.”

    I cringe ,when I hear the ambulance blasting the siren on it way to the West early mornings
