Duffy To Compete In ITU World Championships
Bermuda’s Flora Duffy is set to compete in 2014 ITU Cross Triathlon World Championships in Germany on Saturday August 16th.
The event will consist of a 1,500m two loop swim, 36km cross country bike and 9km cross country run. Professional and amateur athletes from all over the world will converge on the southernmost part of the region of Saxony for this cross triathlon weekend. All in all, the number of participants is expected to exceed 1500 – from 32 nations.
Dr Klaus Schwager, the director of this year’s ITU Cross Triathlon World Championships, is delighted by the big response among international cross triathletes. “We’re looking forward to an exciting weekend with plenty of spectators,” he declared. “We hope that the weather will be good – and would like to wish all the athletes the best possible results as well as lots of fun on the circuit!”
