Photos: Carter House Family Christmas Night
The St David’s Island Historical Society hosted a Christmas party on Saturday [Nov 29] at Carter House and Settler’s Dwelling.
The concept was to re-enact an early traditional Bermuda Christmas with candlelight and natural decorations from the Carter House gardens in the tradition of old Bermuda.
Guests were treated to seasonal entertainment and young ones were delighted when Father Christmas came to visit and hand out gifts.
Food and refreshments were available and Larry Mills could be heard telling tales of history in the Settler’s Dwelling which had a fire burning in the fireplace and a table set with candles, lanterns and old traditional tableware.

Every year I hear about this event after it has taken place. Would like to attend one but I’ve been unable to find a contact person for Carter House events.
Call or visit Carter House.
They are typically open during weekdays.
I agree I always hear about it after the event. It is very sad
