Charity fundraising by members of the Dog Training Club of Bermuda [DTC] has resulted in the giving of $6,500 to local causes, thanks to two agility competitions held at the Ag Show.

A spokesperson said, “At the recent Agricultural Exhibition members of the DTC held two agility competitions on Thursday and Saturday. Six teams, made up of DTC members and their dogs, raised funds and then competed against each other to determine which of their chosen charities would receive the most money based on combined points scored over two days.

“The Bermuda Zoological Society received $2,500, won for them by a team consisting of the two oldest dogs, Ace who is twelve and Tess who is ten and their handlers Mara Zanfagna and Douglas Mello, who earned a combined 312 points.”
