Court: Man Charged With Robbing Vera P Card
Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [June 27], a 20-year-old man was charged in connection with the robbery of the Vera P. Card store on Water Street in St. George’s last week.
Kenneth Wade was charged with stealing $585 in cash as well as jewelry, and having an imitation firearm. The Court heard that the defendant was apprehended in vicinity of Vera P Card store shortly after the robbery occurred.
Magistrate Juan Wolffe granted $20,000 bail with a surety, and ordered that he must wear an electronic monitoring device and report to the Southside Police Station three times a week, abide by a curfew, and have no contact with any witnesses involved in this case.
He was not required to enter a plea as the matter will go to Supreme Court, and he is due to appear at the August Supreme Court Arraignments Session.
