Cup Match Fun Zone Offering Kid-Friendly Fun
Families are being encouraged to attend the Cup Match Fun Zone, featuring activities and snacks for people of all ages.
Activities will include glitter tattoos, virtual reality games, giant slide, inflatable obstacles, rock climber, and octagon, bouncy baby castle, basketball shoot, bungee run, kids toys and accessories, race car track, and more. Snacks will include popcorn, cotton candy, and snowballs.
A spokesperson said, “Thanks to the Management Committee at Somerset Cricket Club and the Committee of Five, this year’s Cup Match experience will include a Fun Zone as an added feature for families and kids to enjoy. The Fun Zone will be located on Clyde Best Lane, formerly known as Broom Street, and will also include the grassy area behind Arnold’s Supermarket.
“To accommodate the activities and keep the area secure, Clyde Best Lane [Broom Street], and the area behind Arnolds, will be closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic from Wednesday evening untilSaturday morning. Persons dropping off people or supplies to the North Eastern Gate will need to do so via the tribe road next to the Sandys Middle School entrance or Broome Street from Beacon Hill.
“Space for bike parking will be made available at Naval Field and other designated parking lots within the area.
“The Fun Zone will be accessible to Cup Match patrons from an entrance next to the North Eastern Gate to the club grounds. It will be managed by the Committee of Five and the hours of operation will be from 11am – 7pm each day.
“All activities in the Fun Zone will use special Fun Zone tickets which can be purchased from the Fun Zone Ticket Booths positioned near the entrance. All Day Passes will also be available for unlimited access to all the inflatable activities on site.
