Chesterfield Offers Rai Simons New Contract
Rai Simons has been offered a new contract by Chesterfield Football Club, with the Bermudian footballer one of four players the Club has extended contract offers to, while a total of 12 players will not be offered new deals.
Manager Gary Caldwell announced on Friday that Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Dan Jones and Angel Martinez would be leaving the club, and the other players who have not been offered new contracts are Ritchie Humphreys, Liam Graham, Curtis Morrison, Jake Beesley, Thorsten Stuckmann, Lloyd Allinson, Sadiq El Fitouri, Jay O’Shea and Charlie Raglan.
Caldwell said: “It is never easy having to tell players that they will not be offered new contracts but it something that has to be done as we look to re-build over the summer and shape a squad capable of competing in League Two.
“We have made contract offers to four players and we hope that they will all sign. I would like to thank the players who are leaving the club for their service and wish them all the very best for the future.”
