Two Shows To Open Sunday At Arts Centre
The Bermuda Arts Centre is inviting the public to openings of their latest shows and a fundraiser on Sunday [May 21] at the Bermuda Arts Centre at Dockyard from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
A spokesperson said, “In celebration of the America’s Cup starting next week, the Bermuda Arts Centre at Dockyard is holding a nautical show entitled “Point of Sail”. The show is to include anything to do with sail boats. A wide selection of media has been entered, including paintings, ceramics and drift wood.
“Anyone with an inclination towards the the water will find this show interesting. This is a juried group Members’ Show.”
“Helle Pukk will be having a solo show opening on the same night featuring nautical ceramics. The show entitled “Ceramic Sails” features whimsical but functional ceramic pieces including plates, bowls, platters, planters and clocks.
“Both shows open this Sunday [May 21] and run until June 30, 2017.”
“In addition, there is a fundraiser entitled “Take A Seat”. These are chairs that have been upcycled by member artists. There are eight chairs in all, and one can purchase a chair by silent bid.
“These chairs must be seen to be truly appreciated one of a kind and incredibly affordable.”
