Vivien Carter Joins Bank Of Bermuda Foundation
Bank of Bermuda Foundation announced that Vivien Carter has joined the Foundation as its new Programme Officer with responsibility for grantee liaison, organisational learning and community outreach.
“Vivien brings more than 15 years of leadership and experience in non-profit management, as well as youth and community development,” the Foundation said.
“She has held multiple leadership positions in the Third Sector throughout the United States and abroad. Her most recent position was with the United Way of Greater Cincinnati as the Director of Education overseeing corporate funding for over 90 youth age education programmes throughout the city.
“Prior to that, in Miami, she was the Executive Director of a National Youth Leadership Programme – College Summit assisting over 13,000 at-risk youth in achieving post-secondary education access and success.
“She has also been a recipient of the National Urban Fellowship working with the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development. There she managed the city-wide investment funding source supporting over 45 youth development programs in all five NYC boroughs.
“Vivien completed her Master’s Degree in Community and Economic Development at Southern New Hampshire University and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Antioch University in Yellow Springs, Ohio. She has received executive education certification from both Harvard University and NYU in Strategic Non-Profit Management and High Impact Leadership.
“She looks forward to meeting our non-profit partners and working with the Board, Committees and the Foundation’s David Lang, Managing Director, who oversees the general business and affairs of the Foundation as well as Kim Pratt, Board Secretary/Administrator of Foundation affairs and Senior Trust Officer – Butterfield Trust [Bermuda] Limited, in spearheading the Foundation’s goals for grant making.”
