Photos: Jessica Lewis Holds ‘Meet And Greet’
Bermudian Paralympian Jessica Lewis was at the Washington Mall today [Feb 10] for a ‘meet and greet’ with her new Coach Curtis Thom, with the event serving to both help raise awareness for the Bermuda Paralympic Association and also thank the public for their support.
Ms Lewis is one of the island’s preeminent athletes, having represented the island in two Paralympic Games, and won numerous international medals, including the first ever medal wins by Bermuda at the IPC World Championships and Parapan Am Games.
Tomorrow, Ms Lewis and Mr Thom will join riders as the Pedal for Paralympics event is set to take place.
Pedal for Paralympics is an opportunity for cyclists to support the Bermuda Paralympic Association to raise funds enabling Bermuda’s elite para-athletes to compete abroad at the World Championships, Parapan Am Games and the Paralympics.
It starts at 9:45am in Dockyard and finishes at Ferry Reach Park, with Ms Lewis and Mr Thom set to join riders along Ferry Reach.
This “Bragging Granny’ is so very proud of both Jessica & Curtis !
I wish them the best of luck in future racing events. As former Coach/Curti’s Dad would say : “GO FAST TURN LEFT” !
