Tennis: Phillips Remains Undefeated In Bahamas
Daniel Phillips’ undefeated run on the Caribbean Junior Tennis Circuit remains, as he continued competing in the Bahamas in the Junkanoo Bowl Qualifiers.
Playing in the Under 14 Boy’s Division Phillips defeated his doubles partner Jaden De La Fuente from Curacao in straight sets.
Phillips won the last qualifier 4-1, 4-1, despite the score this was his greatest challenge with most games reaching deuce.
Coach Sam Maybury said, “This match against De La Fuente, Phillips played the big points by raising his game to another level.”
