Upcoming International Dog Shows In October
The Devil’s Isle All Breed Club is hosting the Bermuda International Dog Shows on October 20th & 21st [Saturday & Sunday] in the Main Ring at Botanical Gardens.
A spokesperson said, “This is the club’s second time hosting these shows, and hope that they are as successful and as enjoyable as last years event. There will be 4 shows in total, 2 shows each day. First show starts at 8:30am each day, and the second show will start 30 minutes after our Junior Showmanship competition each day.

“There will be local dogs as well as dogs from the US and Canada. Some new breeds have already sent their entries in which is exciting.
“Our junior handlers, aged 7-18, will have their own competition between the shows each day. The JR competition is all about the handler; how well they show their dog, and their knowledge of the breed. They compete in 2 classes, Novice and Open, and then the winners compete for Best Overall Jr Handler.
“We appreciate any and all support for all of our dogs and exhibitors; but we really appreciate when people come and support our young handlers. JR competition is generally about lunchtime.
“There will be the DeGraff’s Lunch Wagon there, our JRs. will have a table set up where they will be selling dog treats, dog toys, and baked goods for people. Last year the money raised by our JRs went to Friends of Hospice. This year a donation will be made to PALS.
“Come watch, and enjoy, it’s a free event. Unentered dogs are not allowed within the actual Show Grounds [The fenced in areas of the Main Ring, and those adjacent to it]. We look forward to seeing you there!”
