Ethiopian Orthodox Church Hosting Timket Service
The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church will be hosting the Epiphany or ‘Timket’ service with Pre-Anaphora and Covenant Prayers.
A spokesperson said, “We will be celebrating the Epiphany or ‘Timket’ of Our Lord and Saviour of the World Jesus Christ on Sunday 20th January, 2019 beginning @ 8:30 am with Pre-Anaphora and Covenant Prayers.
“We are remembering and celebrating the re-enactment of the Baptism of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ with a Divine Liturgical Mass to exemplify what has been accomplished for all mankind.
“All members past & present, visitors, family members, neighbors, interested persons and friends of the ‘Debre Genet’ Emmanuel Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church here in Bermuda are welcomed to attend.
“Thanking you and looking forward to celebrating this most prominent Christian Holy Feast Day together with you.
“The Clergy & Congregation of Emmanuel Ethiopian Orthodox Church, 18 Old Military Road St George’s adjacent to East End Primary School.”
