Court: Three People Charged With Conspiring
Three people — including a police officer — were charged in Magistrate’s Court today [June 12] with conspiring to defeat justice.
34-year-old Kyle Wheatley, 31-year-old Kenton Smith, 32-year-old Calshunto James were charged with conspiring to defeat the course of justice in connection with allegedly destroying or suppressing traffic tickets.
The offence is alleged to have occurred between July 2017 and May 2018.
The defendants were not required to enter a plea as the charge must be heard in the Supreme Court, and they were granted bail of $5,000 each with a like surety, and are set to re-appear during the Supreme Court Arraignments session in July.
