Hawley Finishes 21st In Pan Am Games Triathlon
Erica Hawley finished in 21st place during triathlon event at the Pan American Games in Peru.
The event took place under rather trying conditions, with the competitors facing swells between four to six feet as they entered and exited the water.
Hawley recorded an overall time of 2:15.44. She came out of the water in 25th in a time of 21:37, she then clocked the 20th fastest bike time of 1:11.30, and then she had the 20th fastest run time of 41.07.

Brazil won the gold and silver medals, while Mexico captured the bronze medal, with the medal winning competitors. Lusia Baptista won the gold in a time of 2:00.55, her teammate Vittoria Lopes won the silver in 2:01.27 and Cecillia Perez won the bronze medal in a time of 2:02.07.
The Pan American Games are taking place from 26 July to 11 August, with 7,000 athletes from 41 nations competing in over 400 events across 39 sports; including 17 athletes representing Bermuda in seven sports
