Reports: Bristol City Interested In Nahki Wells
According to a report from Bristol Live, Burnley are reportedly set to recall Bermudian footballer Nahki Wells from his successful loan spell at QPR as they await bids from Bristol City and Wigan Athletic to sign the striker.
The report said, “Wells has enjoyed a fruitful six months at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, scoring 13 goals in 26 Championship appearances – one every 124 minutes.
“Knowing there is current interest in the 29-year-old from across the Championship and with Bermudian international not in Sean Dyche’s plans, the Clarets are ready to hear offers.
“It’s unclear exactly what they’re valuation is for Wells, having paid Huddersfield £5m to sign him 2017, but it would potentially be in that region given the club have a 12-month option on his contract, which is due to expire this summer.
“The news will come as a huge blow to QPR, as Wells is the club’s top scorer and there is expectation that the Rs may also seek to make the loan a permanent having hired the forward for the last 18 months.”
SkySports is also reporting that, “Bristol City have approached Burnley over a permanent deal to sign Nahki Wells. The striker is currently on loan at Queens Park Rangers but the deal contains a recall option this month.”
