Photos: Bermuda Thinking Day Parade

February 22, 2010

The 2010 Thinking Day Parade was held on Sunday February 21 at The Anglican Cathedral. The Parade is an annual event, with this year being more special then most as it coincides with the 100 year anniversary of the Girl Guide movement.

With an excellent turnout of hundreds of Bermuda’s young people and a strong support from the community, the Cathedral was packed with people milling about outside unable to get in.

People in attendance included UBP Leader Kim Swan, Shadow Minister of Youth and Sport Charlie Swan, former Mayor Lawson Mapp, and the Governor’s wife Lady Diana Gozney who spoke at the event.

Leaders of the uniformed youth organizations in attendance included Island Commissioner Denise Woodhouse, Scout Commissioner Larry Burchall, Boys Brigade Leader David Semos and Pathfinders Leader Dr. Ronald Lightbourne.
