Submit: Bermuda Anthology of Poetry II

The Bermuda Department of Community and Cultural Affairs is accepting submissions for the second ‘Bermuda Anthology of Poetry’. The deadline for submissions is April 2, and entry is restricted to Bermudians or Bermuda residents.

The first anthology, a 132 page collection of poems from 34 Bermudian writers, was launched on December 10, 2006. Nearly 400 poems were submitted, with 84 making the final cut including works by Wendy Fulton Steginsky, Toni Robinson, Shirley Oro Almagro, Elizabeth Gray, Alan C. Smith, Grace E. Welch and Arthur DeSilva.

2010 Submission Rules and Regulations:

  • Author must be Bermudian or a Bermuda resident
  • A maximum of eight poems per author may be submitted
  • Please submit only original, previously unpublished poetry
  • Only the author is permitted to submit their work
  • Any poems in another language must include an English translation
  • No profanity will be included
  • All poems must be submitted no later than Friday, 2 April, 2010. Submissions should be accompanied with a short biography [50-150 words]
  • Submissions should be accompanied with name, address, telephone number, email address, and title[s] of submissions
  • Submissions should also include a signed copy of a release form authorizing publication
  • Only typed submissions will be accepted
  • Deadline for submissions is April 02, 2010
