Bermuda insurance meeting On Wednesday March 17, the inaugural Bermuda Reinsurance Club meeting will be held at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess from 9am -1pm.

The event, which is hosted by Reinsurance Magazine and sponsored by Flagstone Holdings, will be opened by Bermuda’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance Paula Cox.

Minister Cox intends to speak on on the state of the Bermuda [re]insurance market, Bermuda regulatory conditions and plans for 2010.

The event will look at the Bermuda insurance and reinsurance market within a global context including:

  • The New York Insurance Exchange, what it will mean for Bermuda and London
  • The Class of 2005 five years on, how companies fared post Hurricane Katrina
  • Bermuda vs London: Is the old rivalry still there or are the markets more complimentary than adversarial

  • Mark Byrne: Chairman of Flagstone Holdings
