Body of Missing Man Martin Molinski Found
In a truly sad scenario, the body of Martin Molinski has been found. The 26 year old British guest worker had been missing since Wed/Thurs of this week.
His body was discovered by two German tourists along the coastline of Anchorage Road in St. George’s at around noon today [Mar 21]
He was pronounced dead at the scene by an on call physician at 1pm Sunday, March 21st and subsequently identified as Mr. Molinski. It is understood friends were able to identify him. An autopsy will be conducted, but foul play is not suspected at this time.
His clothes were found on Thurs in the Admiralty House Park area, which suggests Mr. Molinski went swimming. The Marine Police had searched the waters surrounding the area.
The 27 year old British national has only been in Bermuda for six months, and is an employee of local company Vinyltech.
Mr. Molinski was last seen at his residence at #1 Long Lane Pembroke, between 8pm – 9pm on Wed March 17th, after being out with his friends. After he did not show up for work on Thurs, March 18 morning his friends went to his home to check on him, and he was not located at the residence.
The father of Martin Molinski is due to arrive in Bermuda shortly, in order to make arrangements to transport his son’s body back to the United Kingdom. From a large family, Mr. Molinski was one of 13 brothers and sisters who live all around the world.
A Facebook page was set up when he went missing, and is now being used as a tribute page. In a sad way, the group’s popularity can be taken as a representation of Mr. Molinski’s life. In only a few days, the page has almost 500 members, and has so far attracted over 440 messages.
Bernews extends our sympathy to his family and friends. His family is very active on the Facebook group, to express your condolences to his family see here.
