New Coaches Set to Meet Cricket Squad in Africa
The Bermuda National Cricket team will have two new coaches join them for their upcoming tour of Namibia; David Moore and Julien Fountain.
They will both be joining the Bermuda National Team during their South African training sessions, marking the first time they will start officially working with the team.
David Moore, the new national coach, takes over from former coach Gus Logie. The former Australian state cricketer is an ACB Level Three accredited coach. He has previously coached the West Indies, New South Wales womens side, Balmain Cricket Club, and the Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy [CBCA].
Mr. Moore will join the team in South Africa, where they are scheduled to attend a high performance training camp.
Bermuda then goes on to compete in the ICC I-shield Tournament Tour. Bermuda will compete against Namibia for the ICC Shield, April 2, 3, 4 and 5 and will play two ODI’s April 7 & April 8 and T20 on April 10.

The Bermuda Cricket Board has confirmed that Mr. Julien Fountain, Specialist Fielding Coach, will be also joining in the team in South Africa to assist them to prepare for the Namibian tour.
A former British national baseball player, Mr. Fountain joins the team with a wealth of coaching experience. He has coached a variety of international cricket teams including West Indies, Pakistan and England. On the 2000/01 West Indies tour of Australia he took to the field as twelfth man for the West Indies during their fixture against the Prime Ministers eleven at the Manuka Oval in Canberra.

The coaches and players are extremely excited to have Julien Fountain assist with our preparation for the upcoming Intercontinental Shield, 50 over and T20 matches against Namibia. We are confident that he will be able to assist/improve our players fielding skills and our coaches knowledge on the various advanced fielding techniques and drills to be used in the intensive six day camp at the HPC in Pretoria, South Africa.
