Bermuda ICC Cricket: 3 Wins In A Row

Bermuda romped to our third victory of the ICC Americas Division 1 Championship, with a victory over the Cayman Islands yesterday [May 31]. The national squad had beaten Argentina the day before, and started off their opening match by beating the Bahamas.

Initially, the Bermuda squad dug themselves into a hole at the start of their innings, being 27/3. A fourth wicket partnership of 109 between Stephen Outerbridge (65) and Janeiro Tucker (77) steadied the ship and enabled them to set a target of 247 after their 50 overs for the loss of nine wickets. Ronald Ebanks captured 5/49 to lead the Cayman Islands bowling attack.

In reply by the Cayman Islands; bowler Jordan De Silva with brilliant figures of 10-2-16-3, and Jim West, 7-0-17-3. The visitors mustered 99 runs in the 38.3 overs they faced.

Bermuda will play the USA today.
