Sandwich Boards On City Property Will Be Removed

June 4, 2010

The City of Hamilton today issued a reminder today [June 4] to City retail and restaurant owners that sandwich boards placed on City sidewalks are not legal.

In issuing the reminder, Chief Operating Officer and Secretary to the City of Hamilton, Mr. Edward Benevides said, “As a matter of public safety I am reminding retail and restaurant owners in the City, they should not place sandwich boards on City property, for example sidewalks or streets. If a business is using a sandwich board it must clearly be on the business owner’s property. All sandwich boards found on City property will be removed.”

Anyone with questions can contact City Hall at 292 1234.
