World Cup TV: Quick Glimpse Of Bermudian
Those who are watching the Germany vs England game being played now will have caught a glimpse of a Bermudian during half time. Bermuda Football Association’s General Secretary David Sabir, who is a member of the FIFA Stadium Security Committee, was shown standing next to well known English football star David Beckham.
Mr Sabir is the only Bermudian and only representative from the Caribbean region to serve on the Security Committee, which consists of ten individuals. During the group stage, Mr Sabir was placed in charge of Stadium Security for the match between Greece and Nigeria. Mr Sabir is one of two Bermudians involved in the 2010 World Cup on an organizational level, with Larry Mussedun serving as the Chairman of the Apppeals Committee.
