World Cup Match: Bermudian Heading Up Security

fifa logoBermudians watching the FIFA World Cup cheering on their teams of choice can add another thing to celebrate; yet another Bermudian is working at a high level in an organizational capacity.

Bermuda Football Association’s General Secretary David Sabir is in charge of Stadium Security for the match between Greece and Nigeria that is underway right now. As many locals are already aware, there is already another Bermudian involved in the 2010 World Cup on an organizational level, with Larry Mussedun serving as the Chairman of the Apppeals Committee.

Leading Bermuda sports source Islandstats.com confirmed this news today, saying that “Sabir who is as a member of the FIFA Stadium Security Committee is in charge at the Free State Stadium that has open spaces to reflect the openness of its people – friendly, warm and quietly dignified.”

Mr Sabir is a member of the FIFA Stadium Security Committee, and the only Bermudian and only representative from the Caribbean region.
