$36,800 in Scholarships Awarded
The PHC Foundation held their Awards Ceremony last night [July 26] at the XL House handing out a total of $36,800 to a number of deserving recipients. Guest Speaker Patrick Tannock, President of XL Bermuda, said to the Awardees, “Don’t think because you get your education that everything is done, you have to master your trade in order to make sure that you achieve all your goals. Make the best for yourself in life and these opportunities afforded you by your parents, coaches and others, you now have to understand that life is full of challenges and it is totally up to you to make the most out of it.”
Winners Include:
- Shaquille Codrington received $1,800. He will attend the Bermuda College studying Physio Therapy
- Lamar Richardson will use his $5,000 at Temple University where he is studying Actuarial Science
- Shakhai and Shaquille Trott both received $5,000.00 to attend South Kent Prep School
- Shakeem Albouy, who will be attending the Darlington Prep School, received $5,000.00
- Na’eem Griffith received $5,000.00 and will be attending the Darlington Prep School
- Khiari Lespere received $5,000.00 to attend St. Andrew’s Prep School
