Greenslade & Mahoney Win 420 Championships

Royal Bermuda Yacht Club sailors, Joshua Greenslade and Thomas Mahoney were crowned the 2010 National Champions in the two man Club 420 Dinghy over the weekend.

The August 14 and 15 regatta was organized by the combined clubs, RBYC and RHADC, hosted by the RHADC and sponsored by John Barritt & Son, Ltd. Twelve races were sailed in the Great Sound over the two days with Sunday’s weather bringing more challenging breeze and sea conditions. Bermuda Sailing Association President Tim Patton presented Greenslade and Mahoney with silver trays after the duo amassed an impressive 10 first place finishes after discarding their two allowed drop races. Dimitri Stevens (RBYC) and crew Trey Joinville were 2nd and the first junior team (under 18) while Kyle Burgess (RBYC) and crew Emi Froud finished in 3rd place.
