One Drunk Driving Arrest Over 2010 Cup Match
The Police have stated that over the Cup Match holiday weekend (from 7am Wednesday July 28th – 7am Monday August 2nd) there was only one person arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. In addition, as most the public are aware, the Police have confirmed that there “were no major incidents reported.”
The Police go to say that there were 9 reported burglaries as well as 13 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 10 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 9 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent. In addition there were 5 reports of loud music.
The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their cooperation during the Cup Match holiday. Officers were kept busy with calls for service over the four day weekend; however there were no major incidents reported.
