Premier Meets With Cabinet Interns

The third year of the Cabinet Office Internship Programme started on August 2nd 2010. Harold Laude, Glenisha Robinson, Kara Simmons and Warren Simmons are the first of the seven successful candidates to enter the programme this year. On September 7th, Derek Lamb, Jana Outerbridge and Jennifer Phillips will join them. Pictured below left to right are Glenisha Robinson, Harold Laude, Premier Dr Brown and Kara Simmons:

The Internship Programme is designed to provide recent university graduates with full-time employment for a one year period, giving them direct exposure to the workings of the Cabinet Office, the Government of Bermuda and a broad introduction to the Civil Service. The interns will initially spend 5 week period working within the Cabinet Office, and then will be seconded to various departments to broaden their perspective of Government operations. The overall goal of the programme is to prepare Interns for full-time professional employment either within Government or the private sector.
