Tropical Storm Danielle Strengthening [Updated]

[Update: it has now turned into a hurricane] Tropical Storm Danielle formed in the central Atlantic and forecasters are predicting it could strengthen into a hurricane within the next 24 hours. At 11am today, the US National Hurricane center said that Tropical Storm Danielle’s maximum sustained winds were 60 mph (100 kph), and additional strengthening is expected.

Atmospheric conditions have allowed steady strengthening of TS Danielle since yesterday evening, and additional strengthening is expected through Wednesday since the amount of wind shear the storm will encounter is decreasing, according to National Hurricane Center meteorologists.
